Tiffany Tait LCSW, CDWF (CEO)
Tiffany Tait is the Chief Operating Officer at The Detox Center where Tiffany works closely with the facility, helping to ensure that patients are comfortable and safe. She has been working in the addiction treatment field for 14 years. She has helped countless addicts get through the detox process and begin their journey toward lifelong recovery. Tiffany is especially recognized for her experience in clinical program development, leadership development, and organizational restructuring. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and a Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Tiffany is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and enjoys reading, being a mom, and taking long naps on the beach.
Laura Bonczek LCSW (Clinical Director)
Laura Bonczek serves as the Clinical Director of The Detox Center in Boca. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Central Connecticut State University in 2009 and her master’s degree in social work from The University of Connecticut in 2011. A Connecticut native, Laura made the decision to enhance her clinical skills when she relocated to South Florida in 2012. She pursued her licensure to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida in 2016.
Over the course of the past 10 years, Laura has held various clinical positions at all levels of care, including detox, our residential treatment program, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. In addition to her comprehensive clinical skill set, Laura strives to teach and lead her colleagues and friends through her strong leadership qualities. She’s fulfilled many administrative/leadership roles within various communities and populations, specifically within the substance abuse treatment industry.
Laura oversees the clinical department to ensure individuals and their families receive the best and most quality patient care. Laura’s passion to help others and their families escape the grips of addiction and create a new way of living is evident in all areas of her life. She believes in treating clients with kindness, compassion, and love while building upon their strengths. Laura’s capabilities and skill set have been proven to assist others in finding their inner hope and strength to give life another chance.
While implementing innovative and evidence-based treatment interventions, she uses her energetic yet down-to-earth therapeutic approach to build a strong rapport with clients and their families. Laura’s strengths are evident in her clinical documentation and ability to connect with others.
Dr. Thania Quesada – Medical Director
Dr. Thania Quesada is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, American Board of Preventive Medicine, Addiction Medicine, and a former Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine department of psychiatry. Dr. Quesada is an established and highly skilled physician with over 25 years of experience in psychiatry and substance abuse. She is well regarded in the South Florida community, earning numerous accolades for her quality and patient-centered care.
Dr. Quesada was awarded the Gratitude for Giving Compassion Award from Sierra Tucson, given to the medical doctor that contributed the most to the wellness of patients. Dr. Quesada was also the recipient of The Gold Doc award for putting “care,” back into healthcare and the Upjohn Award for research excellence.
Dr. Quesada’s attributes her knowledge of psychiatry, and substance abuse to her experience as the Medical Director for Optreum Health Network Centers, The Renfrew Center of Florida, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care, and as a psychiatry consultation-liaison team member at UofM’s Miller School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rostislav Ignatov, MD – Psychiatrist
With decades of professional experience, Dr. Ignatov’s diversity in the field of psychiatry and addiction medicine has garnered him respect and recognition among colleagues. Known for endless passion and versatility, Dr. Ignatov uses innovative, yet common-sense approaches to treatment. His expertise in disease process and advanced medication management techniques have helped many people struggling with addictions. Dr. Ignatov received an MD degree from the Omsk State Medical Academy, one of the oldest medical schools in Russia, and then completed a psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He is also a graduate of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine and has a forensic examiner’s credentials from the University of Florida. Dr. Ignatov is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN, General Psychiatry) and by American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM, Addiction Medicine)
Robin Jeffrey – Recovery Coach
Robin has worked with chemical dependency/mental health for over 20 years. She is a certified addiction counselor (CAC) and a certified behavioral health technician (CBHT). Further, Robin has worked with over 17 combined facilities to aid/assist clientele with chemical dependency and acute /chronic psychiatric diagnoses. Her skill set is relapse prevention, chronic relapses, and crisis prevention.
Robin also has a passion for motivational speaking and can often be found both in her community (as well as out) educating various populations who suffer from dual illnesses. When anyone asked Robin what her true passion is her response is “to be the best clinical professional that I can be and to let as many addicts with or without mental illnesses and their loved ones know that help/hope/change and miracles are obtainable because I’ve witnessed them for myself”. Robin is looking forward to her future growth with her T.D.C. family.
Shayne Toolan – Admissions Team Lead
Shayne brings dedication and passion along with years of experience in the field of recovery. He has held several roles at quality providers for substance use disorder treatment, including behavioral technician, patient advocate, and his current position. This range of experience has afforded him the awareness and knowledge necessary to be an important first point of contact for our clients and their families, ultimately providing them the resources and information required to make the best choices for their unique situation.
Shayne originally hails from Ocean City, New Jersey, and has been in Florida since his journey started in recovery.
Kyle Allen, Client Care Coordinator
As a client care coordinator in our call center, Kyle Allen helps those struggling with substance abuse get the treatment they need. Kyle has worked in all aspects of the treatment industry for the past 5 years. This has allowed her to interact and build relationships with clients that help her to better function in her role as a client care coordinator. Kyle is in recovery herself and uses her own personal life experiences in order to give hope to the next sick and suffering addict. In Kyle’s free time she attends 12 step meetings regularly, goes to concerts, and enjoys photographing and exploring different parts of South Florida with close friends.
Britney Marshal RN (Director of Nursing)
Britney graduated high school and earned her LPN in 2009 before going to Miami Dade College to earn her RN, allowing her to have a decade of nursing and healthcare experience. Additionally, Britney has experience at the Memorial Regional Emergency Room, Vitas Hospice care, and as a charge nurse at Serenity Oaks Wellness Center. Britney is currently still furthering her education and in school to become an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner. Her career experiences have covered numerous focus areas, including substance use disorder treatment, acute medical, hospice, diabetic education, geriatric care, home health care, and psychiatric nursing for adult and geriatric populations. As an active participant in the professional community, Britney maintains membership in the Florida Nurses Association. Britney is also a certified CPR instructor and notary.
